The aim of this series by Goran Šiška 4d is to help us understand the role of efficient moves. As he writes in the beginning of section 1:

… there is another way to look at the game of go. At the end of the game both players played the same number of moves and the player that used his stones more efficiently will be the winner of the game. I hope this concept of the efficiency will lead the reader to better understanding of the game of go and hopefully to use your stones to their maximum potential.

The first part gives us three examples of efficiency in endgame and section 2 will take a closer look at joseki (hopefully it will be published soon).
